include caregiver support groups, family caregiver information, caregiver trainings for individuals and
families, community and internet resources and educational materials including a caregiver
library.

Individualized Training - Training for families who are caring for someone with dementia related illness - including Alzheimer's |

Caregiver Support Groups - To assist caregivers in caring for their loved one. These groups provide caregiver training, education, speakers and support in a confidential setting. Sharing is optional and all family caregivers are invited to attend. No Charge! The following is a list of our Caregiver Support Groups: |

Parkinson's Caregiver Support Group - Open to caregivers (and the loved one they are caring for who has Parkinson's.) We meet the 2nd Monday of the month @ 1:30 p.m., Orchard Hill dining room, 1223 Karl Drive, New Ulm. | |

Sleepy Eye Caregiver Support Group - 3rd Monday of the month @ 1:30 p.m., Countryside Retirement Community, family room, upper level - accessible by elevator, 1100 1st Avenue S., Sleepy Eye. | |
New Ulm Caregiver Support Group - 3rd Tuesday of the month @ 2:00 p.m., New Ulm Public Library, lower level - accessible by elevator, 17 N. Broadway St., New Ulm. UPDATE: In January, 2009 we will be meeting the same day and time but moving to Volunteers for Seniors office - 1300 S. Broadway, Suite B., New Ulm (located in the lower level of the Bob Webb Insurance Agency - adjacent to parking lot in back of building.) | |

Services are available to all caregivers without regard to age, race, color, creed, religion, national
origin, disability or sex. Upon request, this information will be made available in an
alternative format such as Braille, large print or audiotape.
Caregiver Education is made possible in part under the Federal Older Americans Act through an award from the Minnesota River Area Agency on AgingŪ, Inc. under an area plan approved by the Minnesota Board of Aging.
